As a practicing Christian, I am so thankful for the grace of God in my life. He has forgiven my sins and I choose to follow Christ and his example in my life on a day by day basis. Jesus showed us while he was on earth that all people are important to him. All have value and purpose. Every person can make a difference and it is our job to leave this world a better place than we found it. That is what I try to encourage others to do though all my endeavors.

Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself". This is one of my mottos as I meet and work with so many wonderful friends and business partners around the world. Friendships with people from around the globe are important to me.  I enjoy learning about diverse cultures, expressions, faiths and ways of life. The world is full of incredible experiences and unique people groups, and I enjoy every one of them.

Many incredible spiritual mentors continue to help guide me through life's journey. Dodie Osteen who calls me "her adopted son" has had a profoundly positive impact on my life and because of her, I believe I am a better person. She and her husband John Osteen founded Lakewood Church in 1959. Throughout their 44-year marriage at Lakewood Church, she ministered alongside her husband and continues to be a driving force in the success of Lakewood to this day. My heart and church membership resides at Lakewood Church in Houston where I attend frequently. I love listening to Pastors Joel Osteen and Lisa Osteen and have learned so much from them. They have helped me become a better person as well. Because of the influence and teachings of "Mother Dodie", Joel and Lisa Osteen, my spiritual level and my walk with the Lord has been elevated to a higher level.

In addition, I am a member of High Point Church in Arlington, Texas, which is led by Dodie's daughter, Pastor April Osteen Simons and her husband pastor Gary Simons. April and Gary are also key spiritual mentors. I attend their church and support their women's ministry.

I was brought up in the Methodist Church and maintain a close relationship with Dr. Robert Hasley and many friends who are members of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas.

I read my Bible daily. As I go through my day, I always try to remember Jesus' command to not judge others and treat others as I would want to be treated.

During my lifetime I have learned one lesson: The most important thing is to realize why we are here. It's not just to build bridges or tall buildings or make money, but to do something truly important: To do something for other people. Whether we practice Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism or Hinduism, the main thing to keep in mind is that we are all reaching out to the same God who is the source of love and forgiveness. Because we are alive, we can bring joy and hope to others. That is the most important thing in life and that is why I live.
